Daughters of the Wreckage

The Batavia was a ship that wreaked on a string of small islands to the west of Australia in the year 1629. Stefanie Koens wrote this split-timeline story about that event, sprinkling in a few fictional characters into the mix. However, most of the story is true, especially the horrors that the survivors went through when mutiny was afoot. I listened to the audio book with 3 narrators, and it pulled me in with its tragedy. Yet, hope lingered as they prayed for God’s rescue.
